Why is little JC drooling? And why did B name her NCAA tournament bracket that weird name?

Because B has been making her own bread! Here is the bread in its pan.

And here is the bread out of its pan! Despite B's bracket being a total loser her bread is not. She has decided that we will not go back to the store-bought variety!

Springtime at the Zoo

What beautiful weather we have been having. So nice, that we decided to venture out of our house for the first time in several months on an epic journey to the zoo. Upon leaving the house, however, we discovered that I was too big for the car seat I received for my first birthday (see "What do you mean it's the wrong chair?" Sept. 9, 2007). My mom quickly remedied the situation. I am looking snazzy.


My brother JC, came along with us on a trip to the zoo. It was so sunny that this shot took several takes!

At the zoo we saw many different animals. My goal was to see a dinosaur and a giraffe. My dad showed me a dinosaur (a komodo dragon). In looking for a giraffe we passed this sting ray. Here you can see my brother is upset that he was turned away from the sting ray for photograph purposes.

Here is the only giraffe we were able to find. I asked him to do something and he ignored me. Why do giraffes have such big ears if they don't use them?

We had a wonderful time at the zoo and love this amazing weather. For those who need extra motivation to come and visit us, we can take you to the zoo for free all year. We obtained a zoo pass when my dad won the moose-calling contest while we were there.

I turned 10 months!

Hi there! I turned 10 months recently. Here is my monthly picture with my lamb friend. I tried to pose with him, but he was not strong enough to handle my massive bulk. Why am I so heavy you may be asking...

My diet has much more variety. Here I celebrate my 10 month birthday with a bowl of macaroni & cheese & vegetables. They taste better than split peas, believe me.

I also have learned some new tricks. One of those tricks is waving. Here is a short video detailing this accomplishment.

Just another day in paradise...

Everyone has their favorite musical acts. Grandma E's is Air Supply. My mom's is Sarah MacLachlan. Pop's is Jethro Tull. My dad's is Air Supply, as well. My favorite is still the Doodlebops, but I do listen to other music (unlike my dad). Here I tell you exactly who I am listening to....

Sleeping Like a Big Girl...

Today was a big day. I slept in my big girl toddler bed. My parents took a sneaky photograph while I was out.

It took me a one failed nap and bedtime yesterday until I finally nailed it during today's nap. I was so proud of myself that I held a small party. My friend, B, dropped by for the party. She was impressed with my new bed so I let her go for a test drive with me.
