Despite the near-constant sunshine and delightful temperatures of the LOE, my beautiful momma still needs an occasional pick-me-up. Enter the Dragon. In this case, the dragon is not a ninja named Bruce Lee, but rather a ninja named Ninja. I'm pretty sure if he were alive we would be calling this contraption the Bruce Lee and a man-kitchen would contain only a Bruce Lee and a George Foreman. Flipping through recipe book, my beautiful momma happened upon a POWer smoothie. Emphasis on the POW. Here she is trying it...
Nice! With the POWer flowing through her body she decided SM needed the pick-me-up, too. The effect wasn't immediate despite SM's low body weight...
But then it hit...
She actually climbed the whole staircase later that night.

Isle of Enchantment
Ah! My dad made a New Year's resolution to take my beautiful momma on a tropical vacation at least once a month. January is Puerto Rico - the Isla of Enchantmento. The travel was so that my dad could give the world's greatest talk on thermal stability of.. blah blah blah. We explored the El Yunque rainforest. Look how high we were! The air was almost too thick to breathe! CAUTION: This post includes no pictures of children, cute or otherwise!
Here is La Coca Falls...
Our resort also had a great pool with friendly iguanas...
But the pool did not compare to the beach....
This was our view for the week when we abstained from further talks on plasticity....
We had a wonderful trip. Thanks to Grandma L for holding down the fort! Next month is Trinidad and Tobago.

Grandma L is in the Hizz-ouse!
The New Year brought several resolutions. The most important is that M is now in charge of breakfast. Thanks so much to Aunt JKC for the Strawberry Shortcake Cookbook.
Another, less important resolution was my dad's decision to take my beautiful momma on a tropical vacation at least once a month. He didn't fail this month, but it did require an intervention from the Kinko's Queen Grandma L. She came in early enough to view our New Year's Celebration. Poppers!
Grandma L's resolution was to eat guacomole. So we took her to Gabriel's. Here we are in various parts of saying the word "Avocado!"
SM made the resolution to continue being THAT cute!
Thanks Grandma L for coming to visit!

It's beginning to look a lot like a C Christmas...M version
Who rode the most coasters and such through the trip? M, by far. Here she is outside of Space Mountain. Notice her dad is huddled over and she is fine!
M was so excited to meet Minnie Mouse that she wet herself!
M loved Finding Nemo, Talking 'bout Love with Crush, and the Aquarium in Epcot...
Donuts (see SM version) were the breakfast du jour for Aunt JKC's birthday and Ghiradelli's covered dinner!
Building sand castles on the beach during sunset? That's Christmas in the tropics!
M's favorite rides were Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Railroad and the Teacups!

It's beginning to look a lot like a C Christmas...JC version
JC got to meet Mickey, himself. Here JC is too distracted asking Mickey why he's dressed in a topcoat in the 80 degree weather...
Waiting in line is hard for any 3 year old. But, if the end goal is to touch Lightining McQueen? Well, that changes things a bit.
The Pixar parade was a highlight for JC...
He also like the resort swimming pool...
With such packed days, JC was invariably being pushed around in this state when night fell (the lit up castle is behind him)...
JC rode Splash Mountain early on. It frightened him to the point that he only wanted to ride slow things that did not bounce and that did not include dark tunnels. His beautiful momma drug him on to the Pirates ride against his wishes. The ride ended with him huddled in a ball on the floor of the boat. His favorite ride was the Indy Race Car Circuit!
